Chainsaw Man wasn’t just the bloodiest new anime of 2022, it may be in the running for best overall anime adaptation this year. With the anime’s first season finale right around the corner, many are wondering if the franchise will announce a second season anytime soon. While there is no confirmation of a return to the scene, a new mystery event is in the works for next year, which could indicate that Denji’s adventures on the small screen are far from over.
The first season of Chainsaw Man has been confirmed to have twelve episodes, which may seem less than most other anime adaptations, but it makes sense when you look at both the quality of animation that Studio MAPPA uses and the sheer number of projects that animation on the house is being worked on. Currently, the bloody series has not confirmed if there will be a second season, although with MAPPA’s commitment to bringing all of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s creators to the small screen, it’s most likely only a matter of time before we hear news about Denji and the company’s return.
The mystery of the chainsaw
The upcoming Chainsaw Man mystery event will take place on May 20, 2023, bringing together several voice actors from the series along with performers who helped put together unique endings that varied from episode to episode throughout the first season of the anime. :
Chainsaw Man is easily the top contender for the biggest new anime series of 2022, even though it has a lot of competition in the form of Spy x Family and Lycoris Recoil. With the arrival of Katana Man, this season will most likely end with the end of this fight, although there are plenty more bloody battles and stunning events to come in the anime’s future. With the second installment of the manga giving us a new protagonist in War Devil, Asu Mitaka, the future looks bright for creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, but it could be a lot more complicated for Denji.
