The debut anime season of Chainsaw Man is making its way through its final arc, and some cool new covers help highlight the final arc’s big villain, Katana Man! After Denji’s defeat of the Eternal Devil, the members of Special Division 4 found themselves in a much tougher challenge than they ever expected when the anime saw them ambushed by a mysterious group. It’s still unclear what this new group actually wants to accomplish with this attack, but the attack was led by a new fighter who has the same kind of transformative power as Denji.
This new enemy has become a being that is not quite a devil, but far from human, just like Denji can when he uses the chainsaw devil power, and this new enemy is shown to be much stronger than Aki and other. Now it’s just a matter of seeing more of what this Katana Man can do with his powers, and the cover of the next issue of overseas magazine Nylon Japan enhances the eventual confrontation between the two with great close-ups. If you haven’t tried the series yet, Crunchyroll hypes Chainsaw Man as such: “Denji is a teenage boy living with a chainsaw devil named Pochita. Due to a debt left behind by his father, he lives a life at the bottom. While he repays his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita . One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a pact with Pochita and is revived as ‘Chainsaw Man’ – a man with a devil’s heart.”
