Chainsaw Man easily earned its spot as one of the biggest new anime adaptations last year, introducing countless new anime fans to demon hunters Denji, Aki, Power, Makima, and more. In the premiere episode of the Studio MAPPA production, viewers witnessed the earlier days of the Shonen star and how he was able to become a chainsaw fiend, thanks in part to his special relationship with his loyal pooch, Pochita. As the dynamic duo became anime heavyweights, the cosplayer brought back Denji and his partner in crime after the end of the first season.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get much time to hang out with Pochita in his normal form, as a surprise attack by the devil-influenced zombie Yakuza decided to turn the tables and eliminate Denji thanks to his Devil Hunter status. When the bloody Shonen Protagonist was cut to pieces, Pochita made the ultimate sacrifice and settled into Denji’s chest, becoming his new heart and giving him the power of a Chainsaw Devil. While Pochita was mostly absent due to no longer having his own body, an adorable dog with a chainsaw coming out of his face made a surprise appearance in the season finale of the anime adaptation.
An Instagram cosplayer took the opportunity to recreate one of the most adorable scenes from the premiere episode of the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man, in which Denji was still trying to navigate the world and earn enough money to eat three square meals a day and keep a roof over his head. his head:
Studio MAPPA has not currently confirmed whether the 2022 hit anime list will return for a second season, although the production house said it is ready to adapt all of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s works moving forward. With the studio having Jujutsu Kaisen, Hell’s Paradise, and the Attack on Titan finale slated for 2023, it will be interesting to see if any word arrives any time soon.
