Chainsaw Man was one of the biggest new anime series to come out last year, with the first twelve episodes of the adaptation taking the world by storm not only with Denji’s tragic story, but also with the aesthetic and rock tunes that filled the TV show. . The opening theme of the series, Kick Back by artist Kenshi Yonezu, is so popular that it got the attention of a major musician, as Jungkook of K-pop band BTS took the opportunity to cover the rock beat.

While each episode of the first season of Chainsaw Man featured a Kick Back theme in individual episodes, each ending theme was different, usually reflecting the gory events that took place during the half-hour adventures. BTS, the popular K-Pop boy group that also took the world by storm, hasn’t officially gone through with the gory anime franchise, although it’s clear that artist Jungkook is a fan of the dynamic soundtrack. As anime fans await the announcement of the second season for Studio MAPPA’s adaptation, perhaps BTS could have a hand in creating the theme song for the upcoming episodes, although nothing is confirmed at this time.
