Summary:

The next day, after the War Devil kills Tanaka and the Justice Devil, Mitaka wakes up in bed and realizes that her scars are missing. He turns onto his side to find himself sitting on the bed with scars on his face and spiraling eyes. This is the war fiend who reveals to her that he killed her but kept half of her brain intact. Her plan is to wage war on Chainsaw, but in order for him to do so, he must assimilate into the high school he supposedly attends. If Asa doesn’t comply, she will be killed outright.The two go to school together and Mitaka discovers that only she can see the War Devil because it is a hallucination from her mind. When they arrive at the school, a boy with black earrings approaches them and asks if he is alright. War Devil tells Mitace to ask the boy if he knows where the Chainsaw Man is, but she refuses. The War Devil suddenly enters her body and Mitaka takes the place of the War Devil outside of her own consciousness. The War Devil uses Mitaka’s body to ask where the Chainsaw Man is, but the boy has just moved there so he is unaware. What he does know is that he is rumored to have joined the Devil Hunters Club.Pleased with this new information, War Devil then asks the boy if he will be her boyfriend, but he declines and leaves. The War Devil reveals to Mitaka that anything belonging to him will become his weapon and his goal is to turn as many people as possible into weapons so he can wage war against Chainsaw. Horrified by the situation she finds herself in, Mitaka desperately wants her body back, but the War Devil promises to return her body to her once they kill Chainsaw.Mitaka forces herself to go to a meeting of the Devil Hunters Club, where she teams up with two other students to hunt down a devil by the end of the week as an initiation into the club. One of the students she was paired with was a boy she met outside of school that morning.
