Kobeni replies that such a life – a life of hardship and misfortune – is “normal”, which astonishes him. As he stares at her in shock, he comments on how he wanted to be normal, to which she reacts with confusion.Suddenly, Denji’s attention is caught by a nearby television, which is playing news about the ‘Chainsaw Man’.
