Summary:

After receiving money from Aki’s will, Denji and Power rent a new apartment and spend much of it on food.One night, Denji goes for a walk. When he buys an ice cream, he sits on a bench. When he notices the word ‘winner’ on an ice cream stick, he thinks the words ‘I killed Aki’ and immediately vomits. As he lies down, he thinks about how confused and unhappy he felt since Aki’s death, and starts talking to Pochita.But before he can say anything, Makima appears. She touches his hands and warns him that he feels cold and tells him to get up. Denji complies, still in a state of confused fugue. Makima leads him to her apartment and invites Denji in, where the two are swarming with their many pet dogs. Makima pet the dogs briefly, pet them and talk excitedly with them.Makima offers Denji some tea and tiramisu as she continues to lavish her dogs with treats and belly rubs. Watching her, Denji thinks about how much calmer and happier she feels. He thanks her and she starts caressing him. Makima then reminds Denji of his reward for defeating Gun Devil: A Wish. After a moment’s consideration, she declares that she wants to be treated like one of her dogs.
