Katana Man and Denji, still fighting, continue to fall. When Denji is pushed away, he falls and lands on a moving train. After resetting, he is able to block an attack from the ever-falling Katana Man, causing them to crash into the overcrowded carriage. As floods of passengers flee, a voice recorder announces that the train will make an emergency stop. Denji notices the remaining passenger – an injured young woman – lying on the floor. When Katana Man launches an attack, Denji blocks it, protecting the woman but losing his arm. The woman runs off as Denji angrily yells that “They should ban that move!”.Katana Man attacks again and cuts off Denji’s other arm. He demands that Denji, since he can no longer fight, apologize for killing the Old Man and accept death. Denji refuses, saying that as long as he has a chainsaw on his head, he can fight. The two collide again, but the impact causes Denji’s chainsaw blade to shatter. Katana Man again demands an apology in exchange for a quick death, but Denji reveals that Katana Man was so consumed with anger that he didn’t notice that Denji had cut him in half. Katana Man, now revealed to be split vertically, reacts with a moment of surprise before his body completely disintegrates into a mass of blood and organs. Watching, Denji repeats the words Kishibe told him, “Prey should never believe what a hunter says”.
