Summary:

Kishibe walks towards Denji and Power’s apartment, angry at them for being late for training. From within, Power senses his presence as the pair, now wearing glasses, move to put “Operation: Super-Smart” into action.The Force slams a spear of blood into the door, but Kishibe intuitively dodges it. On the floor above, the pair placed bottles of blood, which Power uses to break through the ceiling above Kishibe. Kishibe blocks and dodges them again. Denji silently descends behind him, hoping to hit him with the axe, but Kishibe quickly kicks him in the head, knocking him down without looking.Kishibe praises them for their attempt, saying it was the best yet, but points out that the pair were weakened by Power’s massive blood loss and Denji’s inability to anticipate attacks. He tells them they’re done for the day, but as Denji begins to relax, he throws a knife and warns the pair that “the prey shouldn’t believe what the hunter says.”Meanwhile, Kurose and Tendo take Aki to the office’s Devil Holding Facility. They remind him that making a pact with these devils will mean heavy losses, but it will ultimately protect him in the conflicts to come. Kurose asks about the girl who visited him at the hospital, who Aki reveals was Himeno’s younger sister. She gave him a number of letters that Himeno had written to her over the years, many of which were about him. In one highlighted passage, Himeno asked, “Is there anything I can do to make Aki stop?”.When they get to the chamber, Kurose reveals that they intend for Aki to make a contract with the Future Devil. They point to two previous agents who contracted with him: One who gave up half of his life, and another who gave up both of his eyes as well as his senses of taste and smell. Aki enters to see a humanoid, tree-like future devil emerge from the shadows as he repeats the phrase “Future Rules!”
