Summary:

Kishibe threw Denji and Power to the floor, explaining that their basic body structures were identical to humans, and as such broke their necks, paralyzing them. He then gives them blood, explaining that unlike humans, it’s all they need to recover from most injuries.Kishibe explains that he is the strongest devil hunter and as such believes that in order to truly train them, they need to reach a point where they can defeat him in a confrontation. Denji and Power approach him preparing to fight. However, Kishibe quickly stabs Denji in the head and back before slitting Power’s throat. He comments on their inhuman intuition to try to attack him without a moment’s hesitation. He says he’s always hoped for a “Toy That Won’t Break” since childhood, before vowing to make the pair “The Baddest of Badasses”.Meanwhile, in his hospital bed, Aki is surprised to find that he is unable to summon the Fox Devil using “Kon”. Kurose notes that the devil is probably angry for being hurt by Katana Man, and as such will probably never answer him again. Tendo asks about Aki’s lifespan after using the Devil’s Curse, but he interrupts them, asking about their intentions. They reveal that due to the worsening devil crisis and massive losses, the organization intends to ask the Authority to make a deal with a massively powerful devil to help gain an advantage. They then give him the choice to quit and live a quieter life, but he refuses and seeks revenge against the Gun Devil for killing his family and the Gun-Agents for killing Himeno. As Kurose and Tendo leave, an unseen woman enters, surprising Aki.That night, Kishibe decides to stop training so he can go home and sleep. Denji collapses from exhaustion when Power gives him some blood to heal him. The pair go home, bloodied and beaten. Power comments on how Denji probably died 20 times and was knocked unconscious anyway. The two consider escaping, with Denji remarking that fighting without enjoying it is “the worst”. Suddenly, Power suggests that instead of using brute force, he’s trying to outsmart Kishibe, causing the pair to become excited, remarking that they feel “Smarter already”.
