Summary:

As the Eternity Devil approaches the group, Kobeni and Arai demand to feed Denji to it. Aki decides to use the “Sword” to get them out, however Himeno ties him up, explaining that using such a weapon will greatly shorten his lifespan.Arai and Kobeni lunge at Denji, but Aki blocks them and gets stabbed instead. He explains that although he doesn’t like Denji, he needs all the allies he can get to defeat the Gun Devil, so he is willing to sacrifice his own well-being to protect Denji. Shocked, Denji orders Power to stop Aki’s bleeding.Seeing Aki’s injured state and visions of her former partners’ graves, Himeno breaks down. A frustrated Denji accepts his fate of being eaten, but informs the group that he plans to “fight back” regardless. Noticing the devil’s scream when Himeno attacked him, Denji realizes that even though the creature is invulnerable, it still feels pain. Denji therefore plans to injure the creature to the point of causing it to commit suicide. The group is shocked by his “diabolical way of thinking”. As they jump into the devil’s maw, Denji comments on Aki’s foolishness, noting that the pair are now even.For a brief moment, the Devil swallows Denji whole before exploding from his mouth in his chainsaw form. He begins to cut into the devil while the others watch his transformation in horror. Power comments on the danger Denji is in as he gradually loses blood and his time in chainsaw form decreases.
