Aki and Himeno subdue Kobeni. Aki attempts to summon Kon, but is unsuccessful due to a severed connection to the outside world. Himeno uses Ghost Devil to attack Eternity Devil, but its size increases with each attack. Eternity Devil reveals that his weak point is not on the 8th floor, and as such he is unreachable to the group.Himeno explains that the devil’s contract is unbreakable, meaning that if the devil doesn’t fulfill his end of the deal, he will die. Allowing Denji to die as such would guarantee the other’s safety. Hearing this, Arai voted to let Denji be absorbed. However, Aki refuses, saying that the devil probably has an ulterior motive behind Denji’s death. Himeno agrees. Power accidentally votes to kill Denji, only for Aki to explain that as a Devil she is exempt from contracts and as such can still be killed by the Eternity Devil. Power scoffs before cheerfully asking an angry Denji to play a game of ‘sumo’.The group waits in a corridor near the Eternity Devil, pondering the issue of starvation. Aki offers to use ‘The Sword’, however Himeno rejects his suggestion. When Arai returns to their room, she finds that Power has eaten all of their food. Kobeni appears and, in a paranoid delusional state, accuses Power of trapping them. When Arai tries to calm her down, she accuses him of being a spy for the Eternity Devil and attacks. As Arai screams in fear, the Eternity Devil suddenly grows and lunges at Denji. As the rooms shift and tilt, the devil reveals that it grows on fear and begins to move towards the room, demanding Denji’s heart.
