Summary:

The small fleshy creature jumps at Kobeni, but is locked in place by Himeno and the Spirit Devil’s power. The force cuts the creature in half as Himeno explains that she gave her right eye to use the Ghost Devil’s invisible right hand.The group continues up. Power playfully threatens Kobeni, only for Himeno to gleefully threaten Power. When they reach the top of the stairs, Arai notices that even though they are moving towards the 9th floor, the signs show that they are still on the 8th floor. Arai runs down to check and suddenly appears at the top of the stairs. The group tests the theory, with Aki going through the rooms and discovering that they are cyclical. The group concludes that they are trapped on the 8th floor due to the devil’s unspecified powers. Konebi begins to panic.The group sits in a hotel room discussing how the small creature was probably the decoy that trapped them on the floor. Kobenia’s panic continues when she reveals that she became a devil hunter because the alternative was prostitution. Power laughs at Kobeni’s fear as Himeno tries to calm her down.Aki notes that all the clocks have stopped at 8:18 and assumes that the floor is trapped in time, making it impossible to save them. Delighted by the lack of time constraints, Denji decides to take a nap. Arai berates him, but Denji shrugs and peacefully falls asleep, much to the group’s shock.
